Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a coating film forming composition that can form a coating film that exhibits a stable inhibiting effect on the adhesion of aquatic organisms and can do so even in the presence of physical factors such as a water current in the water. The present invention relates to a coating film forming composition for forming a coating film, wherein this coating film forming composition contains a silicone resin and a silicone oil and the coating film from the coating film forming composition satisfies the following (1) and (2). (1) The contact angle of the coating film versus water, after the elapse of 5 minutes after the water was dripped on the coating film, is not more than 80°. (2) The contact angle of the coating film versus water, after the coating film has been in contact with methanol for 3 hours followed by dripping the water on the coating film and the elapse of 5 minutes, is not more than 80°.
