A coating layer for heat insulation which is formed on at least one surface of a carbonized molding to constitute a laminate for heat insulation, wherein the bulk density of the molding is 0.08 to 0.8g/cm3 and the gas permeability of the coating layer is 8.0NL/hr·cm2·mmH2O or below.
