Abstract:
Provided are: a coating material composition capable of forming a coating film having high corrosion resistance; a coated metal material; and a method for coating a metal material. A specific compound for improving corrosion resistance is blended at a specific proportion in the coating material composition. More specifically, at least one type of corrosion resistance-improving agent is blended at a specific quantity relative to the amount of solid content of a resin component, the corrosion resistance-improving agent being selected from the group consisting of: thiocarbonyl compounds; and triazole compounds having at least one group selected from the group consisting of a mercapto group, an amino group and a hydroxyl group.
