Abstract:
A coating material for the formation of hard coats which comprises (a) 10 to 30% by mass of a vinyl ester resin or an unsaturated polyester resin, (b) 50 to 75% by mass of a vinyl monomer and/or a (meth)acrylate monomer, (c) 3 to 20% by mass of a monomer that has both a cyclic structure and at least one ethylenically unsaturated group in the molecule, (d) 0 to 10% by mass of a modifier (with the proviso that the sum total of the components (a) to (d) is 100% by mass), and (e) 0.1 to 15 parts by mass (per 100 parts by mass of the sum total of the components (a) to (d)) of at least one radical polymerization initiator selected from the group consisting of organic peroxides, ultraviolet polymerization initiators, and electron-beam polymerization initiators.
