Abstract:
The present invention provides a coating material with which various kinds of vapor-deposition-coated films are easily overcoated because the coating material is of the organic solvent type (nonaqueous type) and which can greatly improve the gas-barrier function of the vapor-deposition-coated films. Furthermore, the present invention addresses the problem of providing: a gas-barrier film obtained by applying the coating material to a vapor-deposition-coated surface; and a packaging material comprising the film.
This problem is solved with a coating material for protecting the vapor-deposition-coated surface of a vapor-deposition-coated film, the coating material comprising a polyester obtained by condensation-polymerizing a polyhydric alcohol ingredient with a polycarboxylic acid ingredient that comprises at least one of ortho-orientation aromatic dicarboxylic acids and anhydrides thereof.
