Title:
COATING WITH INORGANIC FOAMS FOR THERMALLY INSULATING DEVICES AND COMPONENTS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2002102734
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the production of a permanently thermally insulated device, part of a device or component or a permanently thermally insulated machine or system, characterised in that (i) a glass raw material (s) is/are applied with one or several gasifying agents and an additive (s) in a dry or wet state to the device, part of a device or component or machine or system to be insulated; (ii) the device, part of a device or component or machine or system to be insulated is dried if wet application occurs; (iii) the device, device part or component or machine or system coated with the glass raw material, gasifying agent(s) and additive(s) is subsequently heated and the glass raw material with the gasifying agent(s) and additive(s) is thermally transformed into an inorganic foam structure before being cooled, whereupon the foam coating thus produced has an adhesive strength of at least 0.2 N/cm2.
