Abstract:
Disclosed is a COB-type LED package for use in a lamp. The COB-type LED package for use in a lamp according to the present invention comprises a printed circuit board having a first mount surface and a plurality of cavities recessed with respect to the first mount surface; a plurality of main blue LED chips mounted on the respective second mount surfaces formed at bottoms of the plurality of cavities; a plurality of auxiliary LED chips arranged radially about each of the main blue LED chips, and mounted on the first mount surface; a protrusion formed on the first mount surface of the printed circuit board such that the protrusion covers all of the main blue LED chips and the auxiliary LED chips; and a sealing member including a transparent resin which fills an interior of the protrusion and each cavity so as to bury the main blue LED chips and the auxiliary LED chips, and a fluorescent layer formed on surfaces of the main blue LED chips or above the main blue LED chips to turn the light emitted from the main blue LED chips to white light.
