Abstract:
In double decomposition methods and direct methods used in the production of cobalt soaps, there are problems with production costs, and with quality, such as, for example, product purity. One specific problem is that cobalt rhodinate, an important cobalt soap, is costlier to produce than other cobalt soaps. By using a rubber-compounding softener, which is a rubber compounding agent, in cobalt soap production involving a fatty acid having a high softening point, it is possible to use a low-cost direct reaction method, without using an organic solvent, to easily produce, at a high yield rate, a cobalt soap having high purity. This invention thereby mainly provides a reduction in production costs.
