Abstract:
A base station (BS) in a wireless communication system is provided. The BS includes a transceiver configured to transmit information regarding a first configuration for reference signals and a second configuration for precoding matrix reporting, transmit the reference signals according to the first configuration comprising a plurality of antenna ports, and receive, from a terminal, feedback information comprising a plurality of indicators derived from the reference signals according to the second configuration. The BS includes a controller configured to convert the plurality of indicators to one of predefined precoding matrices.
