Title:
CODING DEVICE, DECODING DEVICE, CODE STRING DATA STRUCTURE, CODING METHOD, DECODING METHOD, CODING PROGRAM, AND DECODING PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/095706
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a coding-decoding technology which is capable of carrying out coding with a low average number of bits even with a series of integer values which includes nonzero small values and has a distribution strongly biased toward the small values. Provided is a coding device comprising an integer coding unit which, for a series of inputted nonnegative integer xn, where n∈{1, 2,..., N} (hereinafter "integer series"): obtains a one-bit code in which the bit value is "x", as a code corresponding to a continuous series of L number of integer 0 included in the integer series, where L is an integer greater than or equal to 2; and obtains, as a code corresponding to a combination of a continuous series of 0 to L-1 number of integer 0 and one nonzero integer xn which are included in the integer series, a K×xn-bit or a K×xn+1-bit code which includes at least one of the bit value "x" and at least one bit value "y" from the first bit to the Kth bit and in which the K×(xn-1)th bit from the end has the bit value of "y".
