Title:
CODING METHOD AND APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/197808
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a coding method and apparatus. The transmission performance is improved by effectively using the bit probability distribution characteristic of a source to be coded. In the method, a sending device may determine, according to the length of a bit to be transmitted during a kth instance of transmission, a mother code for the kth instance of transmission, wherein k is an integer greater than or equal to 2. The sending device may perform, according to the mother code, system polarization code coding on a bit to be coded during the kth instance of transmission, so as to obtain a bit to be transmitted. The sending device may send the bit to be transmitted. On the basis of the solution, a bit in a retransmission stage is coded by means of system polarization code coding, such that the bit probability distribution characteristic of a source to be coded is effectively used, thereby improving the retransmission performance.
