Abstract:
Among a method for obtaining an integer signal code by a coding method utilizing a periodicity, by using an index that indicates the level of periodicity of a sample line in a frequency domain, and a method for obtaining an integer signal code by a coding method that does not utilize periodicity, processing of a first coding section is executed exclusively to the method that is expected to obtain an integer signal code having a reduced number of bits. As to the method that is not expected to obtain an integer signal code having a reduced number of bits, a gain that is obtained by the processing of the first coding section with respect to the method that is expected to obtain an integer signal code having a reduced number of bits is utilized.
