Abstract:
The present invention is a cogeneration system provided with: a fuel cell system (1) having a fuel cell (4) that uses a fuel gas and oxidant gas to generate electricity; and a control device (5). The cogeneration system is further provided with: a combustion apparatus (2) for burning a combustion fuel gas; a tank (3) for storing hot water heated by waste heat from the fuel cell system and waste heat from the combustion apparatus; and a heat storage quantity detector (6) for detecting the quantity of heat stored in the tank. The control device is configured so as to control the combustion apparatus in such a manner that: the quantity of combustion fuel gas to be burnt is reduced when the quantity of heat stored, as detected by the heat storage quantity detector, is greater than equal to a first threshold value for the quantity of heat stored; and the combustion operation is stopped when the quantity of heat stored, as detected by the heat storage quantity detector, is greater than equal to a second threshold value.
