Abstract:
Provided is a coil component capable of easily increasing the number of turns of a coil electrode wound around a coil core. A coil component 1a comprises: an insulation layer 2 in which an annular coil core 3 is embedded; and a coil electrode 4 wound around the coil core 3. The coil electrode 4 has a plurality of lower wiring patterns 6b arranged on a lower surface of the insulating layer 2, and a plurality of upper wiring patterns 6a arranged on an upper surface of the insulation layer 2 so as to respectively form a plurality of pairs with the lower wiring patterns 6b. Each lower wiring pattern 6b is disposed, when viewed in a plane, perpendicular to a central axis CA parallel to a winding axis of the coil electrode 4 of the coil core 3. Each upper wiring pattern 6a is disposed, when viewed in a plane, such that a straight imaginary line VL, which crosses both an outer overlapping line OL and an inner overlapping line IL and is perpendicular to a tangential line of an inner circumferential circle of the coil core 3, is drawn, the outer overlapping line OL and the inner overlapping line IL being formed by overlapping said upper wiring pattern 6a with the outer circumferential circle and the inner circumferential circle, respectively.
