Abstract:
[Problem] To improve a coil component having a structure in which a coil portion is embedded in a magnetic member. [Solution] A coil component 10A comprises a coil portion 20 embedded in magnetic members 11 to 13, and terminal electrodes 71, 72 made from electrically conductive paste. The coil portion 20 is composed of conductor layers each having coil conductor patterns C1 to C4 and electrode patterns 51 to 54 exposed from a mounting surface S1. The terminal electrode 71 includes a region A1 provided in a position covering the electrode patterns 51 to 54 on the mounting surface S1, and regions A2, A3 provided in a region not covering the electrode patterns 51 to 54 on the mounting surface S1. A part of the region A1 constitutes a protrusion A11 protruding in an x-direction. Thus, because the terminal electrode 71 has the protrusion A11, a mounting position error in a z-direction is less likely to occur during mounting.
