Abstract:

A coil device whose terminal section has increased mechanical strength so that the device is capable of achieving sufficient impact resistance and vibration resistance in applications, such as vehicle-mounted coil devices, with severe use environments. Terminals (151, 152) are made from a single metallic plate and include installation sections (911, 921), intermediate sections (912, 922), and bottom sections (913, 923). The installation sections (911, 921) are each connected at one end to each of terminal installation sections (121, 122) of a core (110). One end of each of the intermediate sections (912, 922) is continuous, at a first bent section (1F1), to the other end of each of the installation sections (911, 921). The bottom sections (913, 923) are each continuous at one end, at a second bent section (1F2), to the other end of each of the intermediate sections (912, 922) and are faced to the installation sections (911, 921), and the other end of each of the bottom sections (913, 923) is a free end. The intermediate sections (912, 922) have holes (914, 924) in their surfaces. In the holes (914, 924), both inner edges opposed at least in one direction are of an arc shape.
