Abstract:
A welding end portion positioning device (2) which is one example of a positioning device has: a base member (10) for supporting a stator core (18); a positioning tool (4) disposed on the upper surface of the base member (10); and a driving mechanism (16) for driving the positioning tool (4). The positioning tool (4) has a first plate (6) and a second plate (8). The first plate (6) has an inner diameter ring (32) and an annular plate body (36) fixed to the upper surface of the inner diameter ring (32). The second plate (8) has an outer diameter ring (38) and a plate body (42) fixed to the upper surface of the outer diameter ring (38). The plate body (36) and the plate body (42) are respectively formed with insertion holes (62, 62') into which an end portion pair (22) are inserted by being separately zoned, and positioning is performed by rotating these plate bodies (36, 42) in opposite directions. The positions of the respective end portion pair (22) in the radial direction are aligned without the positioning tool (4) and then the positioning tool (4) is set.
