Abstract:
A coiled material passing device (4) according to an embodiment, which is for passing coiled material (100) that has been fed by an uncoiler (3) to a leveler/feeder (2) that corrects winding curl in the coiled material, is provided with a clamping unit (41), a catenary unit (42), and a drive unit (43). The clamping unit (41) sandwiches the beginning end (100s) of the coiled material (100) fed from the uncoiler (3). The catenary unit (42) supports the clamping unit (41) and is movable between the uncoiler (3) and the leveler/feeder (2). The drive unit (43) moves the catenary unit (42).
