Abstract:
A coin apparatus, comprising, in a coin passage (11), sensors (40) optically detecting a thrown and passing coin (54) in a detection optical path (201) having a non-contact distance X and a guard part (202) guarding the sensors (40) against pseudo signal body (200) on the outside of the detection optical path (201) between the coin passage (11) and sensor surfaces (40a) so that the pseudo signal body (200) invading into the coin passage (11) does not reach a prescribed position before the sensor surfaces (40a) to provide signals in place of the passing coin (54) to the sensors (40). Thus, the coin apparatus can prevent the invasion of the pseudo signal body from detecting as the passing of a coin.
