Abstract:
The coin counting apparatus according to the present invention comprises a coin sorting unit, coin collecting containers provided on a support frame below respective coin sorting holes, for loading coins that have passed through the coin sorting holes, and a coin loading and change discharging unit for counting coins loaded in the coin collecting containers and discharging change, the coin sorting unit comprising: a coin separation plate provided above the support frame and having the plurality of coin sorting holes formed thereon in the circumferential direction, for sorting coins according to the sizes thereof; a guide unit provided on top of the coin separation plate, for guiding coins to move in the direction of the coin sorting holes; a coin supply unit for supplying the coins to be sorted to move along the guide unit; and a coin transfer unit which is elastically attached to the coin separation plate and transports coins inputted via the coin supply unit to the coin sorting holes with the coins in a state of close contact with the coin separation plate.
