Abstract:
Provided is a coin deposit/withdrawal machine (11) which can be continuously used without getting into a state in which the use thereof is stopped even when a failure occurs in some housing/throwing unit. Among a plurality of housing/throwing units (22-27), the types of coins to be housed are assigned to the housing/throwing units (22-25), respectively, and no coin type is assigned to the housing/throwing units (26, 27). When a failure occurs in one of the housing/throwing units (22-25), the assignment of the coin type corresponding to the failure is changed from the housing/throwing unit in which the failure has occurred to one of the housing/throwing units (26, 27) to which no coin type is assigned.
