Abstract:
A coin sorting system having a discharge unit (A), a sorting unit (B), and a path
member (P). The units (A; B) have rotating disks (2; 4) and fixed members (1; 3)
facing the rotating disks (2; 4). Each of the rotating disks (2; 4) has the rotating
shaft tilted relative to a horizontal plane. In the fixed member (1) of the discharge
unit (A), there is formed a guide path (10) having a discharge opening (19a) from
which coins are discharged one by one as the disk (2) is rotated. The fixed member
(3) of the sorting unit (B) has a conveyance path (32) having an introduction opening
(34) for introducing one by one the coins discharged from the discharge opening
(19a) and also has sorting devices (6a, 6b; 5a-5e) individually and selectively
discharging coins. A coin roll path (7) is formed in the path member (P), and the
coin roll path (7) is extended inclined so that coins roll by their own weight from
the discharge opening (19a) up to the introduction opening (34).
