Abstract:

When manufacturing a coin-type battery using a sealing can for which a fold is not provided in a side wall part, a coin-type battery having excellent reliability is manufactured that has excellent mass productivity and sealing properties, with a housing space for housing an electrode body made larger so as to increase capacity. A coin-type battery is manufactured by making it so that opening end parts of the side wall part of the sealing can do not bend at an inner circumference side and an outer circumference side, and with the tip of the opening end parts in a shape without sharp angles, forming a cut off part on the inner circumference side of the top end part, fitting the sealing can in a gasket for which the inner diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the side wall part of the sealing can, and caulking an exterior can.
