Abstract:
The invention relates to equipment for cold forming blanks of metallic parts by means of revolution, in particular to form grooves or a knurling. The inventive tool comprises regularly-spaced teeth (D) disposed on a tooth gullet (F), with a penetration zone (A) followed by a calibration zone (B). According to the invention, the teeth are provided with a height (h) that increases substantially from the penetration zone to the calibration zone while the tooth gullet is disposed at a decreasing distance from the reference forming axis (X) of the tool.
