Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cold working method for band-shaped workpieces, the method being capable of correcting deformations such as cambering or warping in side view by means of cold working after rolling and/or after slit processing with a slitting machine, etc., and a device therefor as well as a long sheet-shaped product. The cold working device (100) for band-shaped workpieces comprises: conveyor sections (150, 180) for conveying a band-shaped workpiece (10) in a conveyance direction (A) that follows the longitudinal direction of the band-shaped workpiece; a first clamping section (130) that is disposed on the downstream side of the conveyance direction and is for clamping the band-shaped workpiece; a second clamping section (170) that is disposed on the upstream side of the conveyance direction and is for clamping the band-shaped workpiece; and a draw/release drive unit (321) for moving the first and second clamping sections that have clamped the band-shaped workpiece relative to each other in the longitudinal direction to elongate the band-shaped workpiece between the first and second clamping sections to a plastic range by applying a tensile force, and releasing the tensile force to allow some of the plastic elongation generated in the band-shaped workpiece between the first and second clamping sections to undergo elastic recovery.
