Abstract:
The present invention relates to an efficient collaboration structure between a CPU and a GPU, and provides: a collaboration system between a CPU and a GPU in which a load of the CPU is reduced through a separate unit for controlling the GPU and only information on an address region of data to be used for an operation is provided without direct data copy in the allocation of operations to the GPU, thereby improving collaboration efficiency between the CPU and the GPU; and a method thereof. In addition, provided is a method for maintaining cache coherency, which is suitable for solving cache inconsistency between CPU and GPU by providing a protocol extended from a conventional protocol used to maintain cache consistency among multiple CPUs in order to maintain cache consistency between the CPU and the GPU.
