Title:
COLLAGEN TYPE III PRODUCTION PROMOTER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/084935
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
It has been discovered that a peptide containing an amino acid sequence represented by formula (1), (2), (3) or (4) below and having a total number of amino acid residues of 200 or less, exhibits the effect of promoting the production of collagen type III. Consequently, the present invention provides a collagen type III production promoter containing said peptide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Furthermore, the present invention provides a cosmetic, a quasi-drug and a drug containing said collagen type III production promoter. (1) X1-X2-Val-Tyr-X5-X6 (where X1, X2, X5 and X6 are the same or different and represent an arbitrary amino acid residue). (2) X2-Val-Tyr-X5-X6-X7 (where X2, X5, X6 and X7 are the same or different and represent an arbitrary amino acid residue). (3) Ser-X2-X3-(Tyr/Phe/Trp)-X5-X6 (where X2, X3, X5 and X6 are the same or different and represent an arbitrary amino acid residue). (4) X2-X3-(Tyr/Phe/Trp)-X5-X6-Arg (where X2, X3, X5 and X6 are the same or different and represent an arbitrary amino acid residue).
