Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to a collapsible anchor (10) comprising a body (12) to which four arms or blades (14A) to (14B) are pivotally mounted. The blades (14A) to (14B) can be pivoted about the body (12) between ground engaging and collapsed configurations. The anchor body (12) is connected to a conduit (32) through which a flow of pressurised fluid, most typically high pressure water, is provided for tunnelling of the anchor (10) in its collapsed configuration. The anchor (10) is then actuated into its ground engaging configuration wherein it is effectively embedded in the ground.
