The present invention addresses the problem of making it possible for products to be unloaded in an arranged state, without shortage or overage, at a collection shelf member in a collection system. A rack 5 has multiple levels of shelves 5a that can store: a container 23, which contains multiple products; and a collection shelf member 25 that can store multiple containers 23. A ceiling rail 7 is disposed along the rack 5. A first stacker crane 11 can travel along the ceiling rail 7 and has a first transfer device 15 capable of transferring a collection shelf member 25. A second stacker crane 17 can travel along the ceiling rail 7 and has a second transfer device 21 capable of transferring a container 23 that contains products. On the basis of an order, a host controller 83 transmits, to the second stacker crane 17, a product conveyance command that includes information regarding the product to prepare and information regarding the collection shelf member 25 on which the prepared product is to be placed, thereby causing the prepared product to be conveyed by the second stacker crane 17 to the designated collection shelf member 25. Furthermore, the host controller 83 transmits, to the first stacker crane 11, an unloading command to unload a collection shelf member 25 on which a product is placed, thereby causing the first stacker crane 11 to unload the product from each collection shelf member 25.
