Description:
COLLECTOR WITH CHECK VALVE AND VALVE

Subject of the Invention and Technical Field

The invention relates to a collector configuration comprising a check valve and a valve. The invention particularly relates to a collector configuration consisting of a valve located in the suction collector and a check valve located in the outlet collector to be used in the hot and cold water passages in the pump and booster systems. Said collector configuration with check valve and valve emerges as a complicated but useful assembly which is made into a single product by bringing together the check valve, valve, and collector products, which are especially used separately in the booster systems in the state of the art.

State of the Art

The collectors are of a great importance, especially in the water and other liquid flow systems. The collector is a distributor with multiple outlet channels for distributing the liquid or gas from a liquid or gas flow channel. The collectors are used to distribute the fluids at equal pressure and flow rate to the main lines in the water installations in buildings, fire extinguishing, and the fuel oil, propane gas, and steam installations. The valves control the flow of the liquids or gases. The check valves are a type of valve and prevent the reflux of the liquids. The collectors, check valves and valves are used separately in the systems, in which the fluids are distributed and directed, especially in the water installations. Regardless of the type of these collectors, they cause a great loss of time and labor costs, especially during the mounting stage.

There is a utility model application no. 2018/05717 in the state of the art. The subject of said application is a collector for distributing the hot water in the underfloor heating systems. It can be seen that said collector comprises an integral structure which facilitates the installation of the hoses and plastic pipes for the underfloor heating systems, rather than the normal water or fluid installations.

There is another utility model application no. 2007/00525 in the state of the art. In said application, a collector configuration comprising a ball valve was found. It is described that a cylindrical hole is made in said collector body and O-ring, Teflon bearing, front and rear Teflon and reducer are positioned therein. It can be seen that the main object of said configuration is to save space where the collector is placed, to save the space occupied by the ball valve and to avoid the mounting cost of the ball valve. Another patent application which is similar to said configuration and has a ball valve is the patent application no. 2012/15343. In said patent application, a construction is described, in which a mini ball valve is located in the collector.

There is a patent application no. 2019/13761 in the state of the art. In said application, the production method of a collector formed by combining stainless steel, a check valve with a replaceable interior and carbon pipe is described.

There is a European Patent no. EP2821712 in the state of the art. In said patent application, a modular collector structure used, especially, for decalcifying is described.

Technical Problems to Be Solved by the Invention

The object of the collector configuration with check valve and valve according to the invention is to reduce the production costs, save the mounting costs and time, ease of mounting and flow rate gain in the water passages by combining the check valve, valve and collector parts used in the booster system into a single product.

An advantage of the collector configuration according to the invention is that the check valve and the valve are placed in the collector and thus used as an integral instrument, thus reducing the cost of both the check valve and the valve.

Another advantage of the collector configuration according to the invention is that as a result of combining it into a single product, the mounting steps to the booster system are reduced and the mounting time is shortened.

An advantage of the collector configuration according to the invention is that contrary to the state of the art, the check valve and the valve are not separately mounted afterwards, and there is no strain in the flow rate of the water at least due to the connection pipes and fittings because of the technical necessities in terms of construction. An integral collector in the collector configuration according to the invention will increase the water passage area since it will reduce the length of the pipes and their connection points which will constrain the flow of water. Therefore, the water flow rate will increase and the losses will be reduced. Thus, the efficiency of the pump or pumps to be used is also increased. Due to the flow rate gain, if necessary, the use of a lower power pump will further provide a cost reduction in the whole of the booster system.

The collector configuration with check valve and valve according to the invention will be better understood from the figures below.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The main characteristic of the collector according to the invention is that the collector has a check valve and a valve. That is, in the state of the art, the check valve and the valve are subsequently mounted during the installation of the assembly, while they are integrally designed here. If desired, of course, the versions with only check valve or only valve can be produced. This situation will be included in the descriptions below with the examples. Due to such a design, by combining three different products, the additional products such as nipples, flanges, bushings, and products which makes mounting difficult have been eliminated.

In the collector according to the invention, a check valve and valve are mounted on a collector with a steel body essentially made of rolled steel, under the design conditions specified below. If desired, the material can also be a cast material. In addition, aluminum, copper or alloys can be used, apart from cast iron and steel materials. If desired, the plastic or composite materials can also be used with the determined basic criteria. It should be noted that among these, the design according to the invention is binding. On the other hand, the figures are used to simplify the descriptions. Two check valves and two valves are used in the figures. Of course, the number thereof can be less or more. The dimensions and quantities are only exemplary. They should not be binding.

The collector with check valve and valve according to the invention is generally shown in perspective or partial perspective view in Fig. 1, Fig. 4 and Fig. 7. The sectional projection views of said collector with check valve and valve are shown from different angles in Fig. 5 and Fig. 6. The perspective or partial perspective views of a collector model with valve only are shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 10. The perspective or partial perspective views of a collector model with check valve only are shown in Fig. 3, Fig. 8 and Fig. 9. The main characteristic of the collector according to the invention is a collector body 1 comprising at least one check valve A and/or at least one valve B. Accordingly, said collector body 1 can comprise only at least one check valve A or at least one valve B or both.

The collector body 1 with check valve and valve according to the invention can be produced from rolled steel pipe. If desired, it is a body produced from aluminum, copper or alloy pipes instead of steel, or produced by a casting technique which includes materials such as iron and iron alloys. The check valve A and valve B may generally be a check valve or valve in the state of the art. Provided that the basic functions remain the same, the check valves or valves with different features and different details in terms of construction can be used. Therefore, these assemblies are called check valve A and valve B. However, it should not be assumed that only the check valve A and the valve B are mounted on the collector body 1 in any way, with a random, classical mounting. Besides, the main characteristic according to the invention is that it has an engineering design detail which will form a structure comprising integrally a collector, check valve and/or valve with a construction suitable for the collector body 1 and the details to be given below.

The collector according to the invention essentially comprises a collector body 1, at least one check valve seat 17 and at least one valve seat 18 in said collector body 1, at least one check valve body 2 connected to said collector body 1 from said check valve seat 17, an internal thread 2a on the inside of said check valve body 2, a check valve A positioned on said check valve body 2 by means of said internal thread 2a, and at least one valve B positioned in said valve seat 18. If desired, it can be a structure comprising only at least one check valve seat 17 for receiving a check valve A and a check valve A positioned therein, or only at least one valve seat 18 for receiving a valve B and a valve B positioned therein.

In the collector according to the invention, the check valve A is mounted to the collector body 1 by means of the check valve body 2. The internal threads 2a are made on the inside of the check valve body 2 for mounting the check valve parts. The internal threads 2a can be made previously on the check valve body 2 or can also be made after the check valve body 2 has been mounted to the collector body 1. If the collector body 1 is made of steel material or iron alloy materials, the check valve body 2 can be made of similar materials and the mounting can be performed by welding. If desired, the collector body 1 and the check valve body 2 can be integrally produced by casting. In this case, it would be preferable to make the internal threads 2a afterwards. If desired, the collector body 1 can be made of steel, iron alloys, aluminum, copper, other alloys, plastic and composite materials. According to the production technique, the check valve body 2 can be mounted to the collector body 1 by welding or similar means afterwards, or it can be produced integrally. The internal threads 2a on the inside of the check valve body 2 are important for solving the problems in the subsequent mounting of the valve in the state of the art. The equipment will be placed on said internal threads 2a to form a check valve A, as will be described below.

In the collector according to the invention, the structure for forming or positioning the check valve A essentially comprises a collector body 1, at least one check valve seat 17 in said collector body 1, at least one check valve body 2 connected to said collector body 1 from said check valve seat 17, internal threads 2a on the inside of said check valve body 2, a spring seat 6 having a screw 6a on the outside so as to form a screw- nut mechanism which will be connected to the inside of said check valve body 2 with said internal threads 2a, a stainless spring 7 which abuts and is connected to the said spring seat 6, a movable spring seat 8 which abuts and is connected to said stainless spring 7, a sealing gasket 9 which abuts and is connected to said movable spring seat 8, and a pump flange 10 which abuts and is connected to said sealing gasket 9, and said pump flange 10 is a structure comprising a flange thread 10a which will be connected to said check valve body 2 from said internal thread 2a section and form a structure which can optionally be disassembled and attached to each other with the screw-nut mechanism. In the collector body according to the invention, the check valve A can comprise a structure consisting of only at least one check valve A or at least one valve B mounted on another side of the collector body 1. In other words, in the collector body 1, it can be a structure consisting of only at least one check valve A or at least one valve B mounted on another side of the collector body 1 or consisting of both at least one check valve A and at least one valve B.

In the collector according to the invention, at least one valve B can be positioned alone in the collector body 1 or together with the check valve A in another part of the collector body. The valve (B) can be directly connected to the collector body (1), as can be seen in Fig. 1 , or it can be connected via the valve body (5) which is a protrusion just like the body used in the check valve, as can be seen in Fig. 2 and Fig. 10. If the valve B is to be mounted directly on the collector body 1, a valve seat 18 is formed in the collector body 1. If it is to be mounted via the valve body 5 rather than directly, then the valve seat 18 will be formed in the valve body 5, not in the collector body 1.

In the collector according to the invention, the structure for forming or positioning the valve B is essentially a structure comprising a collector body 1, a valve seat 18 at the top and bottom of said collector body 1 in said collector body 1, a valve lower sleeve (pin bearing) 3 and a valve upper sleeve 4 positioned in said valve seats 18, a fastening pin 19 and a blind plug 16 connected to said valve lower sleeve (pin bearing) 3, a lever stopper 11 connected to said valve upper sleeve 4, a valve flap 20 positioned between said valve lower sleeve (pin bearing) 3 and said valve upper sleeve 4 and within said collector body 1, a valve shaft 13 which passes through said valve upper sleeve 4 and said lever stopper 11 and is connected with said valve flap 20, O-ring 12 in said valve shaft 13 a valve lever 14 and a nut 15 connected to said valve shaft 13. There is a blind plug (16) at the bottom of the assembly. In addition, the “pin bearing” used in parentheses in the nomenclature of the valve lower sleeve (pin bearing) 3 is used for describing the technical details of the element. In other words, it serves as a pin bearing. If the valve B is to be positioned together with the valve body 5 instead of being positioned directly on the inside of the collector body 1, the valve body 5 is connected to the collector body 1 by welding or other production methods. On the other hand, it can be produced integrally by the casting technology or other methods. In this case, for forming the valve B, there is essentially a structure comprising a collector body 1, at least one cavity 21 in said collector body 1, at least one valve body 5 positioned in said cavity 21, at least one valve seat 18 at the bottom and at the top of said valve body 5, a valve body lower sleeve (pin bearing) 5a and a valve body upper sleeve 5b positioned in said valve seat 18, a valve flap 20 positioned between said valve body lower sleeve 5a and said valve body upper sleeve 5b and within said valve body 5, a valve shaft 13, a lever stopper 11 and a valve lever 14 connected to said valve flap 20. Here, the term “pin bearing” used in parentheses in the term valve body lower sleeve (pin bearing) 5a is used for describing the technical detail of the element. So, the technical feature thereof is that it is a pin bearing. This technical element should not be confused with the “pin bearing” in the term valve lower sleeve (pin bearing) 3. This structure, namely the collector valve B, can be alone or more than one in a collector, or it can be alone or more than one in a collector which comprises a check valve. In the collector configuration according to the invention, each of the Check Valve A and Valve B can be used alone or together in a plurality in a collector body 1.

Industrial Application of the Invention

The collector with check valve and valve according to the invention can be integrally made of iron, steel, iron alloys, copper, aluminum and alloys thereof, cast, plastic or composite material. The presence of a check valve and valve in any water, liquid or gas installation will provide a great ease of mounting and time savings. It has a construction in which the check valve and valve maintenance can be carried out and its parts can be replaced when required.
