Abstract:
A collision avoidance device that, for example, is provided with: a collision avoidance execution unit that can actuate avoidance braking that is for avoiding a collision with an object to be avoided; a determination unit that determines whether a driver has executed a brake pedal operation; and a collision avoidance control unit that, when the driver has executed a brake pedal operation during the actuation of the avoidance braking, performs control that prohibits termination of the actuation of the avoidance braking and that generates braking at a braking force that is the larger of the braking force demanded by the brake pedal operation and the braking force of the avoidance braking.
