Abstract:

Provided is a collision avoidance control device for causing a braking device 12 mounted on a vehicle 100 to execute a collision avoidance control when a prescribed condition has been met, said collision avoidance control device being communicably connected to a receiving part 16 for receiving position information of a mobile body 200 which moves along a road which intersects a road whereon the vehicle travels and a camera 14 for photographing in the direction of progress of the vehicle. The collision avoidance control device comprises: a collision probability computation part for computing the probability of a collision between the mobile body and the vehicle on the basis of the position information of the mobile body acquired from the receiving part; and a camera recognition determination part for determining whether the mobile body can be recognized using the camera. If it has been determined by the camera recognition determination part that the camera cannot recognize the mobile body, then even if the probability of the collision with the mobile body has been computed by the collision probability computation part to be higher than a prescribed value, the collision avoidance control device changes the prescribed condition and makes it easier to invoke the collision avoidance control performed by the braking device.
