Abstract:

Provided is a collision determination device capable of avoiding collision with another object while reducing the processing load. A collision determination device (1) determines the possibility of a collision between its own vehicle and another object on the basis of a shortest arrival time (tmin) calculated by a shortest arrival time calculation unit (15), and transit times (t) for each point for its own vehicle obtained by a route candidate acquisition unit (11) of its own vehicle. In this manner, even if a locus which another object may have is not generated, by calculating the shortest arrival time at which the other object with a given first displacement can arrive at each point of the candidate route of its own vehicle, the collision determination unit can determine the possibility of a collision between its own vehicle and the other object. Therefore, the computational load needed for determining the possibility of a collision can be reduced while precisely determining the possibility of a collision between the vehicle and another object. In this manner, the collision determination device can avoid collision with another object while reducing the processing load.
