Abstract:
This collision prediction apparatus is provided with: object detection units (21, 23) that detect an object present in front of an own vehicle; and a predicted collision position calculation unit (10) that calculates a predicted collision position at which the object will collide with the own vehicle in the future on the basis of the relative position between the own vehicle and the object detected by the object detection units. The predicted collision position calculation unit corrects the predicted collision position when the object detected by the object detection units travels counter to the own vehicle in a position out of the traveling course of the own vehicle, and when the own vehicle turns toward the direction that traverses the traveling course of the object.
