Abstract:
A collision prevention device equipped with: a target observation sensor (1) for observing other vehicles (60) in the periphery of a first vehicle (50); a target tracking unit (3) for tracking the other vehicles (60) on the basis of the observation results; a target motion prediction unit (5) for calculating a predicted movement range for the other vehicles (60) on the basis of the tracking results; a target interval collision possibility estimation unit (6) for estimating the possibility of a collision between the other vehicles (60) on the basis of overlap in the predicted movement ranges of the other vehicles (60); a target motion re-prediction unit (7) for recalculating the predicted movement ranges so as to avoid a collision in the case that the possibility of collision between the other vehicles (60) exists; a first-vehicle motion sensor (8) for observing the motion of the first vehicle (50); a first-vehicle motion prediction unit (10) for calculating the predicted movement range of the first vehicle (50) on the basis of the observation results; and a first-vehicle collision possibility estimation unit (11) for estimating the possibility of a collision between the first vehicle (50) and the other vehicles (60), on the basis of the overlap of the predicted movement range of the first vehicle (50) and the final predicted movement ranges of the other vehicles (60).
