Abstract:
A therapeutic agent for inflammatory bowel disease having such a dosage form that 1 to 5 g of glutamine can be delivered to the large intestine per dosage unit. The therapeutic agent may be used in combination with an anti-inflammatory agent. The therapeutic agent can treat an inflammatory bowel disease including ulcerative colitis with high safety and good efficiency without the fear of increasing the defecation frequency.
