Abstract:
A color-developing composition comprising (A) polymer microparticles each having a spirooxazine or spiropyran structure, (B) an infrared ray-absorbing dye and (C) a binder polymer, wherein the (A) polymer microparticles are a reaction product of (a1) a spirooxazine or spiropyran compound having at least two isocyanate groups in the molecule with (a2) a compound having an active hydrogen group; and a lithographic printing plate precursor, in which the color-developing composition is used in an image recording layer. Provided is a color-developing composition which can develop a color at a high level and does not undergo the fading of the color over time. Also provided is a lithographic printing plate precursor which does not undergo the deterioration in visibility of an image (i.e., image data inspectability) even being stored for a long period, particularly does not undergo the deterioration in visibility of an image over time after being exposed to light, and which has excellent printing durability. Further provided are: an on-press developable lithographic printing plate precursor which does not undergo the deterioration in visibility of an image (i.e., image data inspectability) even being stored for a long period, particularly does not undergo the deterioration in visibility of an image over time after being exposed to light, and which does not undergo the deterioration in printing durability even being stored for a long period and has excellent on-press developability; and a method for producing the on-press developable lithographic printing plate precursor.
