The present application relates to the field of display technology, and discloses a color filter substrate, a fabrication method therefor, a display panel and a display device. A black matrix layer in the color filter substrate comprises a first film layer and a second film layer. Since the material of the first film layer and the material of the second film layer are different, at least one film layer among the first film layer and the second film layer may be prepared without using resin glue, and the resin glue remaining in at least one among first through holes of the first film layer and second through holes of the second film layer may further be reduced, thereby ensuring the display effect of the display device. Moreover, since the reflectivity of the first film layer is relatively large, and the optical density of the second film layer is relatively large, the color filter substrate provided by the present application may be guaranteed to meet the design requirements of the black matrix layer.
