Abstract:
Disclosed is a display device, which controls a BG-LED (34) and a BR-LED (35) to light up alternately one half-frame at a time in a one-frame period; and controls such that only the G display element is displayed in the first sub-frame wherein the BG-LED (34) is lit, and such that only the B display element and the R display element are displayed in the second sub-frame wherein the BR-LED (35) is lit (controls the LEDs to alternately light up one half-frame at a time). Thus, even when cross-talk occurs (in a color filter of a given color), only a display element of a color wherein the cross-talk is either alleviated or eliminated is displayed, thereby alleviating or eliminating a decline in color reproducibility.
