Abstract:
In this color measurement device and method, a color chart is conveyed by a conveyance unit such that an image of the entirety of said color chart is obtained, the color chart is conveyed again by the conveyance unit such that an image of part of the color chart is obtained, and on the basis of the image of the entirety of the color chart and the image of part of the color chart, the amount of offset that occurred in the position of the color chart between when the color chart was conveyed and when the color chart was conveyed again is determined. Then, while using the determined offset amount for measurement-position correction, the respective colors of a plurality of patches on the color chart are measured by a color measurement unit.
