Abstract:
The invention relates to a color printer with a printing station (1c, 1m, 1y, 1k) for each color and an anode roller (4c, 4m, 4y, 4k), comprising a continuous transfer ribbon (5) which is guided via a deflecting roller and control roller (6), sensor means (10) in particular for measuring the density and/or position of reference markings printed on the transfer ribbon (5), and a controller (14) for controlling and regulating the transfer ribbon (5) and the control roller (6) by means of an actuating motor (8) on the basis of the detected properties of the detected reference markings. The sensor means (10) are arranged in the region of the control roller (6) for the transfer ribbon (5), whereby an additional clamping roller is omitted so as to reduce costs and save space. During the measuring process, relative movements between the sensor means (10) and the control roller (6) are excluded at least for the period in which the printed reference markings run below the sensor means (10).
