Abstract:
An image forming apparatus for performing an image forming job based on color registration patterns includes a developing device that supplies a developer to a photoconductor and forms a toner image on the photoconductor. The toner image formed on the photoconductor is transferred to an intermediate transfer member. A sensor senses color registration patterns transferred onto the intermediate transfer member. A processor controls the transfer of the color registration patterns between positions on the intermediate transfer member onto which output toner images to be transferred to recording media are transferred and controls an image forming job based on the sensed color registration patterns. The color registration patterns have different arrangement orders of configuration patterns constituting the color registration patterns, the configuration patterns corresponding to respective colors.
