Abstract:
The present invention is a color reproduction method, comprising: setting as input the first color reproduction region on the input side and the second color reproduction region on the output side; applying, to the first color reproduction region, a first color correction adjusted for color adaptation based on reference white in the first color reproduction region and the second color reproduction region, and a second color correction that brings about matching basic colors in the first color reproduction region and the second color reproduction region; applying, to the first color reproduction region to which the first color correction and the second color correction have been applied, a third color correction for correcting colors that are outside the second color reproduction region so that these colors are on the surface or inside the second color reproduction region; and generating color conversion information for converting the first color reproduction region to the second color reproduction region.
