Provided is a colorant dispersion that contains a coloring material, a dispersant, and a solvent. The dispersant contains at least one of: a block copolymer having block A that includes a structural unit represented by general formula (I) and a structural unit represented by general formula (II); and a graft copolymer that includes a structural unit represented by general formula (I) and a structural unit represented by general formula (II).
