Abstract:

A colorant material which comprises a protein-based colorant and a chelating agent, characterized in that with respect to the solid components of the colorant material, which are taken as 100 mass%, the proportion of the protein-based colorant is 1-90 mass% and the proportion of the chelating agent is 10-99 mass%; and a process for producing the colorant material, the process including a drying step in which a colorant composition comprising a protein-based colorant, a chelating agent, and a solvent is dried.
