Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a dichroic dye compound which, when used in a light absorption anisotropy film, attains excellent alignment properties and which has excellent solubility; a colored composition; a light absorption anisotropy film; a layered product; and an image display device. The colored composition of the present invention contains a dichroic dye compound having a structure represented by the following formula (1). In the formula (1), A and B each represent a crosslinking group; a and b are each 0 or 1, provided that (a+b)≥1; L1 and L2 each represent a monovalent substituent, a single bond, or a divalent linking group; Ar1 to Ar3 each represent an aromatic hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group; R1 to R3 each represent a monovalent substituent; k is an integer of 1-4; and n1, n2, and n3 are each an integer of 0-4, provided that when k=1, then (n1+n2+n3)≥0 and when k≥2, then (n1+n2+n3)≥1.
