Abstract:
A colored stainless steel plate and colored stainless steel coil, and manufacturing method thereof, are provided which, in press molding, have excellent moldability and resistance to mold galling, and which have high-strength of molded products. A coloring film layer 11 is formed on the surface of the stainless steel sheet 10 with chemical coloring or electrolytic coloring; thereafter, the colored stainless steel plate 1 having the colored film layer is cold rolled, and the colored film layer 11 is adjusted to a thickness of 0.05-1.0 μm and the total plate thickness to less than or equal to 0.5 mm. By cold rolling, the Vicks hardness Hv becomes 250-550, and deformation zones 5 occur. Further, the surface roughness is adjusted so that the arithmetic average roughness Ra is 0.05-5.0 μm. Thus, it is possible to reliably ensure both strength and rigidity of a thin, colored stainless steel, and a colored stainless steel plate 1 or steel coil is obtained that is not prone to mold galling and that has excellent press moldability.
