Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a coloring composition having excellent heat resistance. [Solution] The present invention pertains to: a coloring composition that contains a resin and a coloring agent containing a pigment represented by formula 1; a film, an optical element, an image sensor, a solid state imaging element, or an image display apparatus using said coloring composition; or a new pigment for a color filter. In formula 1, Ar11 represents an aromatic group having a valence of n1+1 or a hetero aromatic group having a valence of n1+1, Ar12 represents an aromatic group having a valence of n1+1 or a hetero aromatic group having a valence of n1+1, R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a monovalent organic group, at least one of R1 and R2 is a group having an aliphatic hydrocarbon ring structure, R3 and R4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group, and n1 and n2 each independently represent an integer of 1-5.
