Abstract:
A stop valve (10) and an adjusting valve (20) are provided in a common valve casing (40) in a combination steam valve (1). The stop valve (10) comprises a first valve element (12), a first valve seat (14) with which the first valve element (12) is in contact when the valve is closed, and a first valve rod (16) attached to the first valve element (12). The adjusting valve (20) comprises a second valve element (22), a second valve seat (24) with which the second valve element (22) is in contact when the valve is closed, and a second valve rod (26) attached to the second valve element (22). The valve casing (40) comprises a stop valve chamber (42) for housing the stop valve (10), an adjusting valve chamber (44) for housing the adjusting valve (20), a steam inlet (46) for supplying steam to the stop valve chamber (42), a straight intermediate flow path (48) provided between the stop valve chamber (42) and the adjusting valve chamber (44), and a steam outlet (50) for discharging the steam from the adjusting valve chamber (44). The first valve rod (16) of the stop valve (10) and the second valve rod (26) of the adjusting valve (20) extend in opposite directions with the intermediate flow path (48) therebetween.
