Abstract:
A combination switch means for turn signal and hazard warning light in an automobile comprises a turn signal switch (A) which is a multiple-contact coupled switch consisting of four fixed contacts (1, 2, 3, 4) and an active conductor (8) and a hazard warning lights switch (B). Three movable contacts (5, 6, 7) are provided on the active conductor (8). The first fixed contact and the second fixed contact (1, 2) are connected to left lights and right lights respectively, and the fourth fixed contact (4) is connected to an automobile flasher unit. The first fixed contact, the second fixed contact and the third fixed contact (1, 2, 3) are in a normally closed state and correspond to the three movable contacts (5, 6, 7) respectively. One end of the hazard warning lights switch (B) is connected to the automobile flasher unit and the other end of the hazard warning lights switch (B) is connected to the third fixed contact (3) of the turn signal switch (A). The combination switch means can break the connection to the hazard warning lights switch (B) automatically so as to achieve the turn signal indication directly while the left lights and the right lights are working. The invention can simplify a driver's operation and improve safety.
